Dr. Carl Dodson
Dr. Carl Dodson was born and raised in Zanesville, Ohio. He received his undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University. He then graduated from The Ohio State University College of Optometry and began private practice. Dr. Dodson served on the faculty of The Ohio State University’s College of Optometry for 21 years, helping to educate and train optometry students. In 1983, he received the Herbert G. Mote Distinguished Faculty Member Award.
Dr. Dodson is a member of the Ohio Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. He served as trustee for the Ohio Lions Research Foundation for 17 years. As a member of the Lions Club, he supported work to prevent blindness and promote vision health within the community. He is also a member of the Zanesville Chamber of Commerce and the Masonic Lodge.
In 2013, Dr. Dodson welcomed Dr. Kolby Knox into his optometry practice at 2005 Maple Avenue. Dr. Dodson resides in Zanesville with his wife and enjoys working on his farm.
Dr. Kolby Knox
Dr. Kolby Knox was born and raised in Zanesville, Ohio. He graduated magna cum laude from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. He then went to The Ohio State University College of Optometry where he graduated with honors in 2013 earning a Doctor of Optometry Degree. An avid Buckeye fan, Dr. Knox was a member of the OSU Sports Vision Club which provides support to the collegiate athletes at Ohio State. Dr. Knox has experience with the most advanced vision care treatment, technology, and eye care products available.
Dr. Knox was inducted into the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society. He is a member of the Ohio Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. He is also a member of the Knights of Columbus and is active in several community organizations. In his spare time, Dr. Knox enjoys attending sporting events, playing golf, and spending time with family and friends. Dr. Knox joined the optometry practice of Dr. Carl Dodson and is currently welcoming new patients.
